RESIT ASSESSMENTS

We provide training packages for trainees/students who have undertaken the following courses:

Bar Course

Legal Practice Course/ SQE

Higher Rights of Audience

Bar Transfer Test

If you have undertaken any of the above courses and have not passed the Advocacy component of the course we can help you. We offer both civil and criminal Advocacy training to prepare you for your resit Advocacy Assessments. 

We provide bespoke training packages to enable you to:

Argue an interim application/make a submission on the law 

Utilise case analysis techniques

Draft a trial strategy plan

Present an opening speech 

Present a closing speech

Examine-in-chief a witness 

Cross-examine a witness 

How does it work?

We will first ascertain your specific learning outcomes and training needs by offering you a free 30 minute telephone consultation. We will then design a bespoke training package for you, based on your specific training needs, and with a view to fully preparing you for the resit Assessment. We will then a agree a training schedule with you.

You can expect to receive 

• Advocacy Tuition from a Barrister and experienced Advocacy trainer

• Constructive written feedback following your advocacy performance

• Constructive oral feedback following your performance 

• Tips to help you pass the Resit Assessment

The Lecture Service

• 1 hour online lecture and tuition on specific areas of Advocacy skills.

• Lecture delivered via Zoom or Skype

• Obtain answers to questions you may have about Advocacy skills.

Online Advocacy Training

• Receive online Advocacy tuition from an experienced Barrister and Tutor via Zoom or Skype.

• You will be given opportunities to perform Advocacy exercises. 

• You will be provided with written materials.

• Actors will be used to role-play witnesses.

• You will be provided with immediate oral feedback after your performance.

• You will be provided with written feedback after your performance.
