The Bar Transfer Test
Please feel free to contact us even if your course is not listed.
We recognise that trainees/ students may desire additional opportunities to obtain formal, expert, tuition and feedback. After all, Advocacy is a skill that is developed with practice, much like any other skill. The more you practice, the better you will become at Advocacy.
With this in mind we offer additional opportunities for you to learn and practice the skill of Advocacy, thereby enhancing your chances of successfully completing your Advocacy assessments.
Training institutions employ actors to role-play witnesses, but usually only for the formative, (mock) and the summative, (final) assessments. Facing a professional role-player for the first time in an Assessment can be particularly daunting for students who have only ever practised witness handling skills on other students. For this reason we employ actors to role-play witnesses for every training session you have with us. We believe that using professional role-players will not only help you develop your examination-in-chief and cross-examination skills, but will allow you the opportunity to practice these skills, on a professional witness, BEFORE the mock and final assessments.
We provide training packages to enable you to:
Argue an interim application/ make a submission on the law
Utilise case analysis techniques
Draft a trial strategy plan
Present an opening speech
Present a closing speech
Examine-in-chief a witness
Cross-examine a witness
How does it work?
We will first ascertain your specific learning outcomes and training needs by offering you a free 30 minute telephone consultation. We will then design a training package for you, based on your specific training needs. We will then agree a training schedule with you.
